Battery Pack Engineering Resource Center

Size a lithium battery system, compare LFP and NMC, build an engineering-ready RFQ, and access practical battery pack design resources from LBC.

From requirements to qualified volume production

LBC manages battery engineering, supplier selection, production, quality control, certification support, and delivery for OEM, industrial, defense, and commercial programs. Start with the application, voltage, load, runtime, available space, environment, communications, compliance needs, first-order quantity, and expected annual volume.

Catalog orders begin at 10 units and custom programs begin at 25 units. LBC does not supply individual retail batteries. Final performance, sourcing, pricing, certification, and delivery commitments are confirmed for each program.

Battery system planning questions

What information is needed to size a lithium battery pack?

Define the application, nominal voltage, continuous and peak load, required runtime, usable reserve, environment, physical envelope, and charging source. Those inputs create the first engineering scope.

Is the battery sizing result a final design?

No. It is a preliminary energy and current estimate. Cell selection, architecture, BMS, conductors, fusing, thermal strategy, enclosure, charger, and compliance requirements still require engineering validation.

How do I choose between LFP and NMC?

LFP is commonly favored for long cycle life and thermal stability. NMC is commonly favored when weight and volume are the dominant constraints. The load profile, environment, and compliance requirements can change the decision.

What happens after I submit a battery project brief?

The LBC team reviews the application and contact information, identifies missing technical or production details, and follows up about the appropriate next step.
